Empaths cannot help to understand, give, or be more conscious. It is simply innate at home, even if they do not want it.
An Empath will always be there for you, a shoulder to cry, a confident person, but it’s also incredibly exhausting for them because they have a hard time saying no.
If you are an empath and you are looking for ways to handle this, here are some tips to help you “control” your gift, and not to feel resentful.
Create a shield
When you are an empath, it is important to protect yourself. This is an exercise that you should do as often as possible. Visualize an energy shield around your physical body, choosing a specific color can help, and then imagine a protective energetic layer moving around you. You do not try to lock yourself in a box, so keep your shield flexible and leave only what you want in it.
Once your shield is in place, visualize that the center of your being is a small light. Concentrate on this internal light, or this fire.
Each of your senses. Be aware of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. When you have tried this alone, try to practice it in the presence of other people. Try to bring your awareness of your environment outside to you, your flame, then come back. Pay attention to how everyone feels.
From silence
Take many small breaks throughout the day, you need this fresh air and a good walk as well as stretching. These breaks will help reduce excessive stimulation in the presence of others.
Daily meditation
More than anyone else, you must stay feet on the ground and center. Practice meditation. In order to fight against emotional overload, act fast and meditate for a few minutes. This refocuses your energy to avoid picking up that of others.
Purification
Purification is good whether you are an empath or not.
The fact that you cleanse and purify your home and even your workplace regularly eliminate the energy of others and their influence on you. Try sage, copal, oliban, incense Nag Champa and Palo Santo.
Say NO and set limits
Saying no can be very difficult for an empath, but it is very important to say no when someone asks you too much. You do not have to explain why just be polite and firm.
If you feel overwhelmed in busy places, eating a high-protein meal can help, and stay as far away from the crowd as possible, not in the middle!
Do not feel obliged to say yes to your friends, if you do not feel like going out, or if you want to leave early, do not feel bad about it.
Find an energy practitioner
Find someone with whom you feel comfortable, all energy practitioners have their own unique skills and talents, so you need to find out what your particular energy needs are.
Understand that you may need to change practitioner when your needs change, you must learn to recognize when you have grown and evolved and when you need a change.
